My name is Marcelo, I am a native English and Portuguese speaker.
I have been an English teacher for the better part of 22 years. (on and off)
To make a long story short, I joined a large multinational company at the age of 18, purely by luck really.
From 2001 through 2014 I built a solid career in the I.T. Industry, first as a Sys admin supporting, mainframe at first,
and eventually middleware on distributed systems.
Somewhere around 2010 I became an infrastructure architect supporting international outsourcing clients.
My work has led me to several different countries all over the world (U.S.A, Canada, England, Germany, India, China and
a couple of others.
While I worked at IBM, I also kept teaching for different schools (teaching has always been my number one passion.
In 2014 after leaving the company, my partners and I decided to start an English school specialized in fluency, and we thought why not adding business elements into the mix, and therefore delivering a method which is not only about English, but business skills in general.
That is how MASERA was born.

Cristina has been an ESL teacher for 12 years, having taught at various institutes and having worked as executive secretary to company
c-level executives.
Helena Stein
Helena has worked for several multinational companies in the procurement area, after retiring from the corporate world, she ventured into the world of education.
Michael Costa
Michael has graduated in business administration from one of the most prestigious univesties in Brazil, joining our team in early 2022.
