What is PTSD?

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a serious mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. It affects a person’s ability to function in daily life, often causing distressing symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety. While PTSD is commonly associated with military veterans, it can affect anyone who has gone through a life-threatening or deeply disturbing experience.
